La Esperanza seeks to aid immigrants and newcomers in various stages of their journey by developing programs to address literacy and lifelong learning within these communities. With the help of the Pathways to Literacy Grant, La Esperanza will create options for basic Spanish Literacy for those who are not ready for traditional ESL classes. We will also expand our options for traditional ESL students by creating options for newcomers that will fill the gap when there is a long wait list for basic beginner ESL classes.
